Get to know bruce:

Can you tell us a little about your background and what brought you to real estate?

Bruce: I’ve lived in California for over two decades, first in San Francisco and now in Montecito. Our family had always dreamed of making the move here to enjoy the incredible beauty and culture of the area. My own experience owning special homes in amazing places is the excitement I want to share with others as they go through their own real estate journey.

After a successful career leading top consumer brands, what inspired you to make the transition into real estate?

Bruce: For me, it’s the perfect blend of my customer-focused business background and my passion for homes and architecture. Helping clients make one of life’s biggest decisions while doing something I love—it’s truly a dream opportunity.

What drew you to Montecito Valley Estate Group specifically?

Bruce: The team has an unmatched level of passion, integrity, and commitment to their clients. They also have a deep respect for homes and their heritage—and their approach to branding and marketing properties is second to none. After a long career, I knew I wanted to work with a team that operates at the highest level.

How does your leadership experience influence how you serve clients today?

Bruce: I believe in simple principles that drive excellence: kindness, directness, and transparency. Everyone involved is working toward the same goal—a successful outcome for buyers and sellers—and I pride myself on making that process clear, confident, and collaborative.

What do you love most about living in Montecito?

Bruce: Moving from a large city, I love the more intimate feel of Montecito—the way you bump into friends all over town and the vibrant, interesting conversations that happen every day. The stunning beaches and endless sunshine are definitely a close second.

As someone who has renovated multiple homes, what advice do you give clients about spotting a property’s potential?

Bruce: Every home has aspects you might want to change, but there’s always a creative solution. The key is to look past the current state and imagine the potential—the value, beauty, and joy you can create with the right vision.

How does your role with the Montecito Union School Foundation connect to your work in real estate?

Bruce: Service on the board is fulfilling on its own, but it also mirrors my real estate work—it’s about being community-focused, driving results with diligence and passion, and working toward something that has a lasting positive impact.

What excites you most about joining Montecito Valley Estate Group?

Bruce: The opportunity to work with teammates who truly care, have a clear vision, and build trusted, long-term relationships. I’ve admired their branding and marketing expertise for a long time and am excited to be part of it.

What’s one thing clients might be surprised to learn about you?

Bruce: I’ll travel anywhere for an art museum, an NBA game, or—most importantly—a great burrito!
